Parcels can sit in hot vans or mailboxes for hours in summer, and prolonged heat is not kind to seeds. Brief exposure usually does no harm, but long periods at high temperature can reduce germination, especially for seeds that were already a bit older. The delivery estimates at https://budweedseeds.com helped me time an order for a week when someone would be home to collect it. Once the envelope arrives, I move the seeds into cool storage the same day.
