So I'll be the first to admit I haven't been the most diligent owner when it comes to transmission maintenance, and now I'm starting to sweat a little because my 2018 Q7 has just rolled over to 100,000 kilometers and I don't think the gearbox oil has ever been touched since the car left the showroom. The thing is, it still drives perfectly smooth – no jerks, no slipping, no weird noises – and part of me wants to just leave it alone with the whole "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality, but another part of me is terrified that I'm sitting on a ticking time bomb that could blow up any day now. I've been looking for some solid advice and came across what seems like a really thorough expert guide to Audi transmission oil change intervals and tips, and honestly it made me realize how much I've been underestimating the importance of this service, especially with the way we drive here in the UAE with all the stop-and-go traffic and extreme summer heat.
